After you have completed inputting the measurements, you can request the estimation of the PK profile by clicking on the Request PK link. You will be asked to provide information about the previous infusion, which is critical particularly when you do not have a pre-dose measurement. Fill in the requested information (if unavailable), click “unknown (skip)”. If you have to find the information, you can come back later.
If there is no pre-dose measurement and you do not provide previous infusion data, you will be asked for the current regimen for the patient. If there is a treatment defined as current in WAPPS, you have the option to select the regimen. Otherwise, you are requested to provide the dose and interval.
If you don’t provide any previous infusion information, the system will let you proceed but you will be prompted one last time. It is very important to have accessory data when the pre-dose is not available.
A message will tell you that the data were correctly inputted and have now been elaborated by WAPPS.
You now need to wait for the expert review of the individual profile. The data is reviewed and either accepted (sometimes with an explanatory note or a request for clarification) or rejected (always with a reason, or with the request to fix obvious mistakes).
You will receive an e-mail notification for each PK request.
When the PK are approved, you can view the PK estimate by clicking the View link.
